Countries of the Region Wish and Hope for Reaching the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries Status
Dr. Morteza Kheirabadi, Member of the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries
When we go through the financial documents and paper work for their imports of pharmaceuticals or take
a look at the pharmaceutical expenses of Armenia or Turkey, we can take pride in the pharmaceutical
industries in Iran and we can see that all countries of the region are wishing and hoping to reach our
status in pharmaceutical industries. In his recent visit to Turkey, the Russian president Vladimir Putin,
gave $ 20 billion to the Turkish pharmaceutical industries and asked them to reach half the potential of
the Iranian industries in terms of quality and quantity. Many of our companies are currently transferring
their know-how and technology to Russian companies. Knowing this fact, will make any Iranian proud, a
pride made available by the successful pharmaceutical managers and executives in Iran.companies on Monday afternoon,
December 10th, at the ministry of culture and Islamic Guidance.
China, Constant and Diverse Presence
IRANPHARMA EXPO 2018 hosted the official Chinese
pavilion. In a space of approximately 400 m2, 25 Chinese
pharmaceutical manufacturers in different sector were
present. The diversity of their activities, from API to
equipment, machinery, packaging, biotechnology,
distribution, trading, etc. was notable. A general look at
the visit rate of the Chinese pavilion, indicates their rate of
satisfaction with the exhibition. According to polls, almost
all companies expressed their desire for participating in
IRANPHARMA EXPO 2019.
Wan Ting, one of the executives present at the pavilion,
described the general atmosphere of international
businesses operating in the Iranian pharmaceutical
industries and said that: “Despite international sanctions
and difficult economic conditions, IRANPHARMA EXPO
2018 was a step forward in comparison with last year’s edition. We are receiving a large number of visitors from international
companies.” He then explained the reasons for his continuing presence in the Iranian market despite difficulties and said
that: “With regard to the amount of investment returns, the strategic importance of this market, and the commitment we feel
toward our clients in Iran, finding the right path for active participation in the market becomes easier. Industries that have
attained bigger shares in the Iranian market through constant activities, will not lose this opportunity easily. This has led
IRANPHARMA EXPO to be a rendezvous for revisiting old friends in Iran, as well as a place for expanding the business
scope, and meeting industrialists who have just begun their work in Iran.”
IRANPHARMA EXPO, Major Event Hosting Diverse Pharmaceutical Sectors
A good number of pharmaceutical companies from
across the world have participated in IRANPHARMA
EXPO 2018. Peter Emile Iverson, a manager at a
pharmaceutical information technology firm from the
Scandinavian region was among the participants of this
exhibition. Experiencing his first visit to Iran, he described
his experience and said that: “IRANPHARMA EXPO is
a major event held in a beautiful venue, hosting diverse
pharmaceutical sectors.” Applauding the exhibition
organization, Iverson mentioned the IT domain as one
of the sectors in the pharmaceutical industries of Iran as
one with great potentials for growth and development.
Despite difficulties and complications of being in Iran,
Iverson expressed his hope for participating in future
editions of IRANPHARMA EXPO.
