IRANPHARMA EXPO 2019 Poster Unveiled

The IRANPHARMA EXPO 2019 Poster Unveiling Ceremony was held in the presence of the head of
the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries Syndicate, deputy of culture and media at the general office of
culture and Islamic guidance, general manager of the culture and Islamic guidance organization, general
manager of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration, cultural consultant to Imam Khomeini Musalla,
public relations manager of Imam Khomeini Musalla, board members of the Iranian Pharmaceutical
Industries Syndicate, Dr. Jafar Mirfakhraei and CEOs and representatives from pharmaceutical
companies on Monday afternoon, December 10th, at the ministry of culture and Islamic Guidance.

IRANPHARMA EXPO is a Symbol of Iran’s Capabilities

Dr. Ahmad Sheibani, chairman of the Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries Syndicate
pointing out the participation of two official pavilions of China and India in IRANPHARMA EXPO
2018 stated that: “China and India have had the most collaboration with the Iranian pharmaceutical
industries and one of the best parts of the closing ceremony for IRANPHARMA EXPO 2018
was when different companies from different countries, especially Europeans expressed their
satisfaction with this exhibition and announced their readiness for taking part in IRANPHARMA
EXPO 2019, despite sanctions. Dr. Sheibani also mentioned the visit by 6 official political and
commercial envoys from European countries as one of the most important highlights of this
year’s edition of the exhibition.
IRANPHARMA EXPO 2019 Pre-Registration and Stand Booking Begins

Pre-registration and stand booking for IRANPHARMA EXPO 2019 has begun. All companies that are willing to
take part in this major pharmaceutical event can log into the expo website at www.iranpharmaexpo.com and do
their registration. IRANPHARMA EXPO 2019 will be held on September 24-26, 2019, in Imam Khomeini Musalla
of Tehran, Iran.

The American’s Plot against the Pharmaceutical Industry Defeated

Many countries are interested in creating hotlines in the pharmaceutical sector, but until now, we are
yet to establish an official line of connection. This is because of the enmity of the US, which apparently
claims that the pharmaceutical industry is exempt from the sanctions. However, the claim demanded
from one of the countries as a condition to guarantee that the drugs will not be delivered to those
who were sanctioned. They have explicitly showed their enmity, but I can clearly declare that in the
pharmaceutical sector and in medical equipment we have been able to defeat their plots, in a way
that the shortage in API has been reduced to the normal condition, which is less than 1 percent of the
available pharmaceutical items.

Despite the American sanctions and their claims of not sanctioning the drugs, pharmaceutical items
are directly or indirectly sanctioned, as some of the companies are reluctant to sell us API in fear of the
Americans’ sanctions and some others that are not prohibited from sending or selling drugs to Iran, but
we are unable to purchase pharmaceuticals from them because of banking sanctions.
However, during the years that we have been sanctioned, we have used these problems as means
to use the potentials and turning them into opportunities and currently, although we are not claiming that we are not facing
problems in providing special drugs and cancer treatment, we can claim that by replacing them with similar options, or
manufacturing their counterparts domestically, we will prevent serious problems happening our patients.
