24 Asian and European Countries to Gather in Iran

The pharmaceutical industry is among the most transparent industries in Iran and has passed
the test of time in the last round of sanctions. This industry is now supplying 97 percent of the
domestic demand for pharmaceuticals and more than 50 percent of the pharmaceutical raw
material is produced inside the country and we are independent in this regard. Pharmaceutical
industrialists, complying with their human commitment in manufacturing and supplying the required medicine in
different period have never underperformed and have not gained any profit in the name of business for themselves.
Holding IRANPHARMA EXPO with 24 participating countries from Asia and Europe, in a condition that the United
States’ withdrawal from the JCPOA has planted the roots of fear in the major European countries is an indication
of the fact that the potentials of the pharmaceutical industry should not be overlooked.

Getting to Know Iranian Pharmaceuticals in IRANPHARMA EXPO 2018

About 100 international companies are present in IRANPHARMA EXPO and their
representatives will get to know the medicines and pharmaceutical industry of Iran. Meanwhile,
we are facing a recession period for exports and these past three exhibitions have caused
us to reestablish export relations with countries that have very strict laws on importing drugs.

Our pharmaceutical industry has considerable potentials and has been able to take a few
steps forward every year by innovation and presenting new products. This industry enjoys
skilled and professional workforce that can make up for the absence of foreign medicine. Not
only can we supply for domestic demands, but with due platforms, we can plan for international
markets and reach a good level of exports.

200 Herbal Medicine Exported

Currently, more than 200 herbal medicine is being exported and we have companies that
export 70 of their pharmaceutical products. The international relations of the Iranian Food and
Drug Administration has been activated in the past few years. The participation of international
companies in IRANPHARMA EXPO is effective in familiarizing domestic manufacturers and will provide means
for introducing products and global exports.

Student Tours in International IRANPHARMA EXPO

Student tours is a commercial-industrial, academic and educational event and will help create
a more real sense of the business world for the students. IRANPHARMA EXPO 2018 has
reached its full potential in terms of student tours, and more than 15 tours from faculties of
medicine and pharmacy from all over the country are expected to visit this event.
